Story...

...began about 10 years ago when five young guys from Oetztal (A-Tyrol) got together to make music. Mainly for reasons of fun, no concrete aims. Anyhow, the young band toured the local area to play both covers by Metallica, U2, Ccr, Nirvana and own stuff. Sentencia performed at various locations: parties, festivals, open air and snowboard events or band contests like Popodrom.

Along in years, there were also changes in the line-up. But in 2000, the death of Sentencia's guitar player was a dramatic incident in the band's and everybody's life. There was a break of three years to reflect about that (nobody had actually a clue how to go on). After the break, three members of the original line-up came together finally and searched for a new bass player, which was not that easy. But in the end, the guys had luck.

In August 2005, the band decided to step into the "real world" and started to prepare for their first album which was released in May 2006 ("Sentencia", B000G7PRCI/ASS, Bogner Records). From that moment, Sentencia became increasingly popular in the Tyrolean uplands region and now can look back on several live concerts and appearances on TV and radio (Oetztal TV, Welle Oberland, Volldampfradio, Brettspielwelle.de/2. in the charts, Radio Orange). Also, Sentencia contributed two songs to the German movie "Kontrollverlust" as well as two songs to a German Rock album edition (another one is in production). Sentencia's first video clip for "Butterfly Wings" is ready to watch and the second clip is in production. Other things to mention: Sentencia played with the Austrian well-known band "Spout" and performed at a festival in Slovakia. Over here, in the region of Oetztal the concerts of Sentencia are always sold out and at the LiveStage in Innsbruck it is "full house".

The last year, Sentencia started to contact concert and festival organisers and positive results come already in view. Much more can be said about Sentencia - new songs are currently in production and further e-mails will be send out to newspapers and magazines and, by the way, Sentencia prepares for their next concerts...
